Nils Aksnes PhotographyRed Dot is an image from on ongoing series exploring the colours found in the coastal landscape around my studio on the west coast of Scotland. I use found objects (for example marine plastic) and natural materials as sources of colour in these works. Marine plastic pollution is ubiquitous on the coast here. The images in this series depict neither the object, nor the landscape but instead address the ways in which one becomes the other.
